Babs Book Bistro

I have read the another book the authors have out called A Texas Brides Collection: 9 Romances from the Old West. The book was actually pretty good. So when I was able to receive The Farmer's Bride Collection from NetGalley I was happy to start reading.

I have to admit I got stuck with the first story in the collection. One Little Prayer by Kimberley Comeaux. Tessa Wise and her daughter Louanne live on a farm which she is all alone on as her husband passed away in the. Along comes James Larabee wandering along the woods and gets hit while riding along on his horse. Louanne comes along and tries to help him by getting her mom to come get him. The story was going so slow for me I stopped in the middle of Chapter two. I couldn't read anymore.

I was so flustered I could have skipped on to the next story but I had to put the book down and move on. I will try again skipping the first title but it will be later on this year. I have no desire to read the other collections as of yet.
