Babs Book Bistro

This book is the last in the Grayson series.  I have not read the other books.  In this last one Brittany is trying to get her life back after being abducted for 4 months.  She was one of the lucky ones who survived.  One of the first things she wants done is a new deck.  Alex comes in as the deck builder with 2 helpers.  As soon as they meet there is a chemistry brewing but they each have their own reasons for not wanting  a relationship.  Alex is a widow and Emily is his daughter.  She takes up with Brittany right away and they two have a special bond.  Brittany starts getting notes and seeing someone out her kitchen window.  She knows her kidnapper was killed so who is this copy cat trying to get to her.

The story was good the characters were great together.  I like the fact Alex is portrayed as a good father who takes care of Emily.  The setting was described well.  You could get a sense of what was happening and feeling the anxiety.  There were a few things I wished were different. The length of the story was a bit short for my taste as far as the romance between the characters.  Neither one wanted a relationship and then after a week they are thrown together.  Alex is already thinking of what a good step mom Brittany might make.  The other is the suspense would have been better if we could feel Brittany was scared more.

Over all the book was a nice read.
