Babs Book Bistro

Noelle is blind from an accident that killed her parents. The man she was engaged to left her as he thought she was damaged goods. She has been living with her aunt and uncle since the accident. Noelle and her aunt were heading home in a storm when the horse was startled by the train and took off. A stranger out of no where saves them before then can of over into the icy river. Noelle seems to know this man, but can't quite put her finger on who it is. The stranger turns out to be Thad her first and only love who left the night they were supposed to run away together. She was not too happy to learn who the stranger was, but yet happy he has returned home.

Over the course of the book Noelle and Thad work on things very slowly and try to reconnect. Noelle is scared of being hurt and knows she can't do the same thing since she has lost her sight. I rather enjoyed the book and learning what would come of their relationship. It was nice to Thad get jealous a few times. The setting and characters were great and worked well with each other. I look forward to the next book.
