This is the second Amish book I have read in the past week, and truly enjoyed reading this one. Annie Weaver is a lovely girl who moves away to the English for a few years. She was having problems keeping a job in her community. The change was what was thought best at the time. Annie continued her schooling, and became a nurse. Little did she know it would help in returning home to help take care of her father. In time, she learned just how much she missed home and how much she would be needed. Samuel is the local farmer/doctor who helps the sick in their community, and was taking care of Annie's father. She did not get a long well at first with Samuel. Will Annie get a chance to start her own family and be happy? This is a must read and find out what does happy to Annie. I never wanted to put this book down and I am sure you will feel the same way.
